BS 8214:2016, the code of practice for timber-based fire door assemblies, using third-party certified doorsets and the ironmongery, seals and fixings specified in the door's certification. Our installers are trained and assessed through UK Fire Door Training.
The number is the fire resistance in minutes when tested to BS 476-22 or BS EN 1634-1. FD30 is standard for most flat entrance and corridor doors; FD60 and higher are specified where the fire strategy or risk assessment demands it. An S suffix (FD30S) means the door also has cold smoke seals.

A single doorset is normally fitted in a day. Estate-wide programmes are phased around tenants, residents and staff, with out-of-hours work available.
